Over a decades worth of experience with the tattoo gun has given the experience needed for a fully adaptable and accommodating style to suit any design. The founding member of the team and senior artist sets the standard for the work the studio puts out in to the world.
Born in London in 1976, Stewart's birth was set against a backdrop that included the emergence of Punk Rock and the hottest summer since records began. That heady combination obviously seeped into newborn Stew's subconscious, as he went on to develop a burning passion for the arts, which he became involved in from a young age.
Former vocalist of the widely successful Metal band, Our Malevolent Tyranny, Stewart has brought the creativity, work ethic and energy of a Rock musician into the world of tattooing.
"Over the years, like all fashions and trends, tattooing styles have evolved. Changes in what clients want has encouraged me to grow as an artist, to adapt in a way that has enabled me to develop a portfolio that encompasses a broad spectrum of art. From traditional to realism, from tribal Samoan to intricately detailed and expertly coloured masterpieces . . . no art project is turned away. Only tweaked if necessary to be completely unique for the customer. No job too small or too big here at White Dragon Tattoo N8. Drop me an email or get in touch via social media to get your lifelong piece of art."
Stewart Ferguson - White Dragon Tattoo's owner and Senior Tattooer.
Specialising in Concept art and Sci-Fi Comic Book stylism Jake has always been inspired by these elements in his work. Living and breathing all manor of creativity surrounding his time as a professional cosplayer and comic con regular has seeped into his work and cultivated a dynamic breed of design.
The complimentary styles of our two artists mean that no design is unobtainable, be it solid realism or excentric pop art all bases are covered.
"just got back from another session with stewart: top artist/top bloke. he's professional, friendly + creative. he clearly LOVES what he does + this is reflected in the quality of his work + the way he looks after you.
totally 110% wicked, cant wait to go back :)"
"Stewart is a
very talented tattoo artist; he makes you feel
so comfortable and relaxed.
I honestly couldn't ask for a better tattoo I absolutely love it! And I'll
definitely be going back to Stewart in the future for any further works I'd like
"Had a few tattoos from Stewart and plan to get many more, lovely guy, very clean and relaxed atmosphere, gets your design spot on and his prices are very reasonable not extortionate like some places!!"
"I just got a super-cool custom tattoo from Stewart at White Dragon. I am over the moon with it. I can't really draw, so I provided a rubbish sketch plus some images of the sort of elements I wanted: style, colours, font etc. Stewart came up with a sketch, we then edited it a bit, and I ended up with exactly what I wanted. He is very flexible to ensure you get what you want, has a great eye and really knows how to put a great finish on your tat. Highly recommended :) the photo doesn't even do justice to how good it looks! Highly recommended :)"

"i was never sure what or where i wanted a tattoo, then i found out Stewart had his own shop so i put pencil to paper and doodled a design that had meaning and travelled 200 miles to get my first tattoo done by Stewart; and i'm glad i did, the feeling of having your own design come to life on your skin is immense and i wouldn't have had anybody else do it. Stewart is more of an artist than a tattooist and takes pride in every bit he does, it's good to know your in the hands of someone who cares about what they do as well as the customer, it was comfortable, barely any pain and calm environment. Now working on the next design for another visit and i can't wait. Stewart is a true legend behind the needle!! 18 October 2012
Depending on how you look at it, i've had either 5 or 7 in just over a year, Stewart goes from strength to strength and i can honestly say,a couple of years ago i used to contemplate why people would even bother covering themselves in tattoos, but now plenty of tattoos later i can see the addiction and Stewart's definitely the one to aid that addiction!!"
